Parking at Perth Airport (PER)
Information compiled by David Enrich, aviation and airport guide expert since 1999.
Parking at Perth Airport is modern, well-signposted, and designed to suit all types of travellers, from quick drop-offs to long holidays. The airport offers several official car parks across all terminals (T1, T2, T3 and T4), with options ranging from premium spaces just steps from check-in to budget-friendly long-term areas connected by free shuttle buses. Booking online in advance is highly recommended to secure the best rates and availability.
Types of Parking
Short Term Parking: Located directly outside each terminal, this is the most convenient option for short stays, pick-ups, or business trips. Walking distance to check-in is typically 1–3 minutes.
Long Term Parking: Ideal for longer trips. These car parks are slightly further away but connected by free shuttle buses running every 15 minutes. Some areas also allow walking access depending on the terminal.
Long Term Undercover: Similar to Long Term but with shaded or covered spaces, offering protection from the sun—very useful in Perth’s climate.
Premium Parking: Located closest to terminals (mainly T3/T4), offering maximum convenience with minimal walking time (around 1 minute).
Short Term Saver: A cheaper alternative to Short Term parking, located slightly further away (4–6 minutes walking distance).
Regional Parking: Designed for passengers using regional flights and general aviation areas.
For stays longer than 1 day, Long Term parking is significantly cheaper than Short Term, even if it requires a short shuttle transfer.
Location & Layout
The airport is divided into two main precincts:
- T1 & T2 (Eastern precinct): International and some domestic flights. Long Term car parks (H, J, K) are common here.
- T3 & T4 (Western precinct): Mainly Qantas domestic operations, with Short Term, Premium and Undercover parking very close to terminals.
All parking areas are clearly signposted, and most include CCTV and 24/7 security patrols.
Always check your terminal before arrival—T1/T2 and T3/T4 are not within walking distance of each other.
